What’s new on Netflix Australia for August 2019

As the number of shows and movies available to stream in Australia continues to grow at an impressive rate, it can be tough to keep up with all the new additions to each streaming service each month.

We’ve all come to anticipate a new stable of Netflix Originals releases each month, but figuring out which shows they are and when exactly they become available isn’t so easy. And what about the large number licensed shows and films that are made available to stream, if only for a limited time?

In an effort to keep you informed of the best shows and movies that are in the process of being added to Netflix, we’ll be bringing you an updated list of what you can expect on the service on a monthly basis.

TV shows highlights for August 2019

Starring the incredible martial arts star Iko Uwais (The Raid), Wu Assassins sees a wannabe chef from Chinatown picked as the last in a line of Chosen Ones, who must team up with a homicide detective to unravel an ancient mystery and take down supernatural assassins.

Picking up from the events of season two, which saw the TV version of GLOW taken off the air, the gang kicks off a run of shows in glamorous Las Vegas. Expect the usual power struggles, bouts of sexual tension and shifting priorities to jeopardise the bond that’s grown between the girls and their leader in the last two seasons.

David Fincher’s incredible series Mindhunter is back, and once again we follow the FBI’s Behavioural Science Unit as they move from theory into action after joining in a high-profile hunt for a serial child murderer. The season also sees the unit ,eet other big name monsters, including Charles Manson and the ‘Son of Sam’, David Berkowitz.

When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.
